My FIRST MOTHER'S DAY with Kamden.

Today was a beautiful day. It was the FIRST Mother's day I have celebrated with Kamden. He just turned 8 months old a few days ago... and he is the sweetest gift God has ever given me.

We started off the morning bright and early. I got up and cooked breakfast... biscuits and gravy of course! Kamden and I got ready for Church. Keith was going to go, but he decided to stay home and clean house so that I could have the day off from chores.

Kamden and I made our way to our church, Mud Creek Baptist. It's hard to take him to church now, because he doesn't sit still or sleep through it anymore. He's up, checking everything out... and it falls right around his breakfast and morning nap time. So yeah, it's definitely a challenge when I end up taking him by myself. But overall, he did well and we survived it.

It brought tears to my eyes because they had baby dedication at church and I didn't know about it. I've always wanted to to that for Kamden... then again, there's always next year! It made my entire day though, because I won a nice picnic basket filled with gormet goodies for being the mom with the youngest baby at church. Well, at that particular service anyway. I was so excited!

After church, I came home and relaxed with my two boys for a while. They got me a bouquet of beautiful reddish-yellow tulips. Kamden also got me my FIRST Mother's Day card from him and it was sooo sweet. He was trying to eat the card before giving it to me. haha. His Daddy let him scribble his name and everything!

In the afternoon, I went to spend time with my own mom and took her to the Historic Flat Rock Playhouse to see "Steel Magnolias." We laughed and cried through it, it was really good. After I got back home, Keith cooked us dinner and I went outside to play with Kamden for a while. He loves to just sit and play in the grass... more so, he likes to eat the grass!

It was a WONDERFUL Mother's Day.... I will remember this FIRST one for as long as I live. I am so thankful the Lord blessed me with this gift of having a child and filling my heart with so much love and joy.
