Mommy's LITTLE Helper.

Kamden turns 8 months old in a few days... and he acts more like a boy, not a baby, every day. He is into everything. His favorite is bath time... and he pulls himself up to sit in his little tub. He loves the squeezable bathtub toys, especially his cups that sprinkle water. He hardly ever cries, but he will whine sometimes until you take him outside to play. Crazy how an 8 month old baby can communicate that to a grown adult. He loves to sit out on the porch in his swing-- for HOURS on end.... and I promise, you will never hear a peep out of him. He also loves to go on walks in his stroller and also in his wagon at his Granny's house.

He is a very independent child. He prefers being in his own world (much like his Momma) and no longer likes to be rocked to sleep. He would rather you lay him down, give him his paci, and turn on his glow worm and leave him alone so he can go to sleep. Everyday, I feel like he is growing up faster than I can keep up. Although he is not really a cuddling kind of baby (which surprises me, cause I am that kind of person) he has the sweetest, friendliest, and loving disposition about him. Recently he started resting his head on my shoulders when I pick him up, and it just melts my heart. That's about as cuddling as he gets these days.
Kamden enjoys walking around in his walker, jumping in his johnny jump up, or rolling around on the floor or under his play mat. He goes crazy when he hears any kind of music.. and will kick like crazy and sometimes bop his head. haha. Its so cute! He knows how to shake his head "no" from side to side... and is starting to figure out what it means I believe. Every time we feed him, and he's done he starts with it. It really cracks him up when you shake your head "yes" he gets all confused. haha. Well, anything makes him laugh for that matter. He is constantly giggling and smiling everyday. You can look at him or make a funny noise and he laughs so hard he can hardly catch his breath.

He recently learned to wave "bye bye" and can actually say it from time to time. He just hasn't fully figured out what it means yet. He has also mastered clapping his hands and giving high fives. I've been trying to get him to say "Da-Da" but he's only mastered "Muh-Muh" so far. I think it will be soon though. He is experimenting with his voice now days... making all kinds of squeals and sounds. Sometimes when you ask him a question, it almost sounds like he says "nuh uh or uh huh." haha. It could be in my imagination. He copies everything we do... like a little sponge! In some ways its nice. For instance, I was doing laundry the other day, and he starts bending over his walker and picking up all the clothes too. Hope things like that don't wear off as he gets older. So adorable!

For his age, he is a bright, healthy little boy. Very intelligent and perceptual. I can not wait to see the growth over the next 3 months.... I know it will be amazing to witness. This has all gone by so fast, and I can't ever say that enough. He is growing so fast... we're just trying to keep up and enjoy every lasting moment.
