New Year's Eve

Saying goodbye to 2010 and Hello 2011!

This was Kamden's 2nd New Year's Eve... He was barely 4 months old this time last year! It's always hard to believe how fast time flies and how quick your children grow up! This year we brought in the New Year as a family, while also starting our very first tradition together: eating Chinese for dinner!

It's such a classic way to bring the new year in. Kamden shared some vegetable lo mien with us. It was the best ever! He absolutely loved the noodles, and had fun eating them too of course. He is getting really good at handling his eating utensils... but still loves to lick his little fingers. We played for a long time. We watched all the famous people perform in NYC Times Square on TV, but Kamden crashed before the ball dropped. The rest of the evening was spent playing board games. Overall, it was the best New Years we've had so far. Looking forward to bringing many more in together as a family.

As the new year approaches, it was only natural to reminisce on all the memories we have made with Kamden this past year. It was truly an amazing year watching his development advance from month to month, and all the big milestones in between.

• Kam got his FIRST 2 teeth
• Started Crawling & sitting up on his own
• Trips to Carl Sandburg to see the goat farm

May (8 Months Old)

• FIRST Mother's Day with Kamden here
• Moved from Downtown Hendersonville to West Asheville
• SECOND word: Buh-Buh (Bye)
• Waves goodbye & claps

June (9 Months Old)

• FIRST Father's Day with Kamden here
• Kamden made it to the top 50 in the Parents Magazine Cover Contest
• Kamden's FIRST time brushing his own teeth! (all 6 of them)
• THIRD word: Da-Da
• Kam started standing on his own, and walking with support
• Summer days spent at the pool
• BBQ Festival with the Family in Tryon, NC

July (10 Months Old)

• Kamden's FIRST Independence Day...Fourth of July!
• Traveled to Charlotte for our cousins wedding
• Faith For Life Fundraiser for our friend baby Ty
• Kam attended his FIRST birthday party for a friend

August (11 Months Old)

• FIRST Family vacation to Myrtle Beach, SC
• Kam got his big boy car seat
• 2 More teeth... 8 total!
• Added 2 more words: dog & duck

September (12 Months Old)

• Kamden's FIRST Birthday... He turned 1 Year Old!
• Celebrated his special day in Dr. Seuss style at Kate's Park
• FIRST trip to Chuck-E-Cheese
• FIRST Friday night high school football game
• FIRST time for FESTIVALS: Apple Festival & LAAF

October (13 Months Old)

• Fall Fun with our little family
• Several trips to the Pumpkin Patch
• Kam's SECOND Halloween!
• Kamden's great grandfather "Buck" passed away at 88 years old
• Kam's FIRST trip to Washington, D.C. with his "Queenie"

November (14 Months Old)

• Kam's FIRST visit to Atlanta Cyclorama & Civil War Museum
• Kam's FIRST time at the Gettysburg Remembrance Day Parade

• We celebrated Mommy's 25th Birthday!

December (15 Months Old)

• Gingerbread Tour at the Grove Park

• Spent the holiday's at both grandmother's houses & with "Pap" Biggs
