BIG BOY car seat!

Kamden used his BIG BOY car seat for the FIRST time today! We wanted to leave him rear facing as long as he could, but his little legs were getting to long. He loved facing the front for the first time... his eyes were so big looking at the road and checking out everything!

We went with Graco's Matrix Nautilus 3 and 1 convertible car seat. It should be the last one we ever have to buy. We are still looking to get a second one, for his grandparent's vehicles-- so we will be purchasing a second one this week. I heard many great things about the Recaro ProSport, which is the same company that makes race car seats. It's one of the safest on the market-- and has the highest weight and height limit than any other seat out there. It's also has side impact protection, which makes it super safe!

We are just glad we were able to make it through the first year with our Maxi Cosi Mico infant carrier. He is still able to use it as a spare for a few more weeks. We liked the next stage up, which is the Priori, but wanted to try something different this time. So far, Kamden loves it! It's hard to believe how fast he is growing up, and that we are about to enter the toddler years!
