11 MONTHS OLD!

Kamden is 11 MONTHS OLD today! Wow... has this year gone by extremely fast! In just four short weeks, we will be celebrating his FIRST birthday! It's so hard to believe it has already been a year since we welcomed him into the world. The most amazing thing about it all, is seeing him change and develop from month to month. Here is what little man has been up to lately:

• Has a head full of hair! He has always had lots of hair of course, but now it is longer than ever. People always ask when we are going to give him a haircut or how old is your little girl!?! haha... but shaggy is in style right now, and Keith and I agreed to leave it longer for as long as we can. It's adorable!

• Crawls the RIGHT way, finally! He has finally mastered crawling on all fours this past month. Even tries to stand up on his back legs while he is on all fours, but face plants to the ground! Won't be long before he learns to stand up without holding on to anything.

• Speaking of standing, he stands by himself as long as he doesn't realize he is doing it.

• Walks holding onto furniture.

• Finally started pushing his walking toy by himself! Looks like he will take off on his own very soon.

• Understands who "Momma" and "Dadda" are and knows what "Bye Bye" and "No No" means. The first three were his first words, which he still says ALL the time!

• We've added a few more words to the mix... He says "Eddie" (His Pappaw's name), Hey, Huh?, Dog and Duck. Hasn't mastered these yet, but will say it when prompted.

• Has 8 teeth now! 4 on top, 4 on the bottom. The last two (on the bottom) are only half way in right now.

• Brushing his teeth by him self! Does not like it when we try to help him!

• 
• Size 4 diapers (Finally!)

• Size 5 Infant Shoes (with room to grow)

• Still wears some 9 months clothes... starting to grow into some 12 months. Still half and half.

• Sleeps through the night about the same as before (50/50). Sleeps from 8pm to 8am, waking up for 10 minutes (to get a bottle) at 4am.

• Takes 6-8oz. three times in a 24 hour period (morning, afternoon, night).

• Three Stage 3 meals per day (same as before).

• Added some new snacks... like Gerber banana cookies and fruit snacks. He loves them!

• Starting on some small table foods! Likes to bite small apples, plums, and peaches.

• Loves to hand feed himself... and you too, if you let him! Also likes to hold his own spoon, but hasn't learned to properly use it yet.

• Still loves to wave goodbye and clap his hands... especially to play "Patty Cakes" or "If your happy and you know it..." We're trying to teach him how to do a handshake, hehe. "Peek-A-Boo" makes him giggle hysterically!

• Loves to give you things... but expects you to give it right back, haha.

• Recently learned to throw a ball (or other toys that resemble a ball) and likes to play catch and throw with you.

• Plays with toys for longer periods of time. Understands how to press the buttons to get a reactions (for toys to play music or make sounds). His favorites are his Piano, Helicopter, Push to Spin, and his newest... baby elmo cell phone!

• Loves to splash all the water out of the bath tub, play with his toys, and stand up holding onto the water faucets.

• Tries to roll over and crawl away every time you try to change his diaper... this makes for a very difficult time!

• Has to have his paci, a soft silk lined blanket, and his glow worm to fall asleep.

• Knows how to sip from a straw now. Loves to drink from the "adult cups" Our goal this next month, is to help him learn to use his own sippy cup! In the past 2 months, we have not been successful.

Kamden is getting more and more like a little person every day. He is a very independent child and loves being in his "own little world." Is growing more loving and attached as he is getting older. We are half way through planning his FIRST birthday party... it's just around the corner.
