PLAY DAY at WORK!
Kamden came to my work again today! The Physical Therapist Assistant students just love him. They have labs where they try different therapy exercises on the little ones. Dr. Samuels and her students, showed me some ways to help Kamden start crawling on all fours, rather than "commando" style. I think it worked!
Kamden loved that baby doll!
One way to help babies start crawling and walking, is to strengthen their hips.
These are some exercises they were showing us, to bear more weight on his hips.
This is another exercise to strengthen his hips, so that he bears more weight on the lower part of his body. Another thing we learned today was what object permanence was. This is where the baby realizes where an object is, even if they can't see where it went. An example of this was a baby toy. They hid it underneath a bowl, and Kamden knew exactly where it was! He says you're not fooling me, people! haha. What a fun day at work for me. I wish he could come visit everyday!
