10 MONTHS OLD!
Happy 4th of July!!! Today is going to be a FUN day, because not only is it Independence Day-- but Kamden turns 10 MONTHS OLD today!!!

He is getting closer to being a little boy, rather than a little baby. It's crazy to think in 8 short weeks, he will be one year old. I've started to put together a plan for his FIRST birthday party, and I have my work cut out for me! It is sure to be an awesome event. His birthday falls on Saturday, September 4th-- Labor Day weekend this year... so everyone mark your calendars!
It's amazing what all he has been up to.... and into lately! He will tear the house down if you don't watch out. haha.
- Some new things we have added this past month is...pulling up to stand!!! He has finally mastered it on his own. Every time you lay him down for a nap or when he wakes up in the morning, he will pull him self up on the side of the crib and just stand there jumping up and down until you come get him.

- Is trying his best to walk... he might just skip the crawling all together, which I read that a lot of babies seem to do that now days. He has discovered the "heel to toe" one foot in front of the other, so he will walk around as long as he is holding onto your hands.
- Can stand up, and is starting to move from side to side, by himself-- holding onto the furniture. The couches and ottoman has been good practice for him.
- We recently bought him a "Play to Walk" toy that he can push around to help him start walking.

- Still scoots around like an army guy, and still hasn't perfected the correct crawling position yet. Tries every day, but prefers to scoot since he can get to where he wants to go a lot faster that way. It's hard for him because we do not have carpeted floors, so anytime he attempts to-- he just slips right back down. Still getting around all over the house though!
- Still has his own foreign language... but still says "Momma, Da-Da, and Bye Bye" if you ask him a question or say his name, he now replies..."Huh?"

- He likes to bite! I'm trying to teach him this is a "No-No!" He will grab your hands and clamp down on your finger and laugh! Big N-O.
- Speaking of "No-No's" We are making it a point, not to overuse that word. We only say it when he does something he's not suppose to (like trying to pull down the DVD and Satellite box off the glass entertainment center every morning) He will look at us with the saddest pouty face, but he understands what it means now and will stop on the dime!

- Opening and closing doors... yes, he is a baby, but he is a smart one! Every day he makes his way to the bathroom or his room, and even the coat closet and will push open the door, get behind it, and try to close it. Every time I try to go in there to get him, he will push up against the door and grunt like he is literally trying to close me out. It's the funniest thing!
- Loves to exercise those vocal cords! Will squeal or say"Ahhh" as loud as he can to get a reaction out of you and then laugh. Trust me, it's very embarrassing in public where everyone stops to look at you. haha.
- Still eating three stage 3 baby food meals per day... fruit with rice cereal or oatmeal in the mornings, veggies for lunch, and meat combo at night. Gerber and Beachnut have come out with a few new flavors like green beans with potatoes, macoroni and cheese, sweet corn and rice, broccolli with carrots and cheese sauce. He really loves them all.
- We are down to 2 to 3 bottles in a 24 hour day. He doesn't really care for them much anymore. Only in the mornings when he first wakes up, or at night before bed, as he falls asleep. I'm loving this, because it will make it easier for us in about 2 months when we try to wean him off completely.

- Another thing he's not as crazy about is his paci. The only time he will want for it, is when he is sleepy. Which is also another great thing in our favor.
- Still around the same size as he was last month. Seems to be slightly taller, but not by much. Has a tiny waste, so he is still in size 3 diapers. Should be in size 4 very soon.
- In between sizes... his butt is almost too big for 9 months clothes, but his waste is petite-- so all the 12 months bottoms are to big around the waste, but fit perfect everywhere else. I'm assuming he gets this tall and slender from his daddy! haha.
- Size 4 infant shoes... we just bought him a new pair of Keens for babies and his second pair of Stride Rite tennis shoes. They are precious!

- Still has the same 6 teeth... but the past few days he seems to be teething again. It's looking as if the other two bottom teeth on each side might be coming next!
The next big thing we are looking forward in the next month are more teeth, crawling (the RIGHT way, haha) or possibly walking. We are just trying to enjoy every moment as it comes, and cherish it while it last. With our busy schedules, it all seems to pass us by almost faster than we can keep up.
