Sweet Summertime.

We've finally settled in the new place in Asheville. So far we are loving it. In such a short amount of time, it's already feeling like a "HOME."

Summer is officially here... heat, humidity, and crazy thunderstorms included. The only good thing about the rain, is it makes the baby..... sleep like a baby! haha. We have all been very busy lately. Two of my best friends from college, came in town for a visit a few weeks ago. We really enjoyed visiting, and Kamden loved getting to know his adopted Aunties!!! hehe. He's definitely a ladies man, he is so amused by pretty girls. I wonder where he gets that from? haha.

Keith started his summer classes... foreign language and organic chemistry. I have also recently been accepted in grad school at WCU for my masters in education. I wasn't sure how I could handle being a new mom, working full time 40-50 hours week, plus going back to school. I'm barely in, and so far it's been tough. I just keep reminding myself the struggles will be worth it in the end... and together Keith and I will be able to provide a better life for our children.

On the bright side... Big brother Blake came over again to visit with us this weekend. Friday night we watched TV and Movies all night. We woke up bright and early on Saturday and went swimming all day at the Elks pool. The funnest part of the day was taking the boys to the 17th Annual BBQ Festival in Tryon, NC.

We went around 6pm, right as the sun was going down. It was so hot and humid, it felt like it was still a hundred degrees outside. All of us were soaking wet from head to toe, from sweating so much. Poor Kam was the worst. You can tell by his face in most of the pictures that he looked miserable. We all were at first. Although, that was some of the best BBQ I've ever put in my mouth. Kam had Stage 3 Green Beans, Corn, and Rice instead. I thought that was the closest thing to a southern meal in baby food I could find. haha.

Good thing we discovered they had a mist tunnel, we all stood under it for several minutes to cool off. We ate dinner, then walked around to all the craft tents. We saw that they had a playground by the river. We took the boys to go play-- and Kamden's new favorite is the swing. It makes him laugh so hard. They also had amusement rides and Blake got to ride a few. The one that spins real fast in the air kind of scared Kamden. He was so frightened by it.

It was late by the time we made it back to the car. We walked pretty far to get in, but we took the trolley back. I wanted to make one last stop for ice cream, but we were all pretty exhausted from a very fun day.
