Maelynn's FIRST Big Girl Bath!

Since Maelynn was a newborn we have used the Puj Flyte baby bathtub that fits perfectly in the bathroom sink and folds up so small and conveniently, you could easily travel with it if you needed to. Its soft texture and compact shape fits a newborn perfectly. It also has side holes for water overflow, which is ideal for newborn sponge baths and when you don't want to fully submerge your baby in water. Plus, it saves your back from not having to bend over kitchen sinks or bathtubs for newborns. We looooove this thing! One of my favorite baby products this go around for sure. The only downside is that its meant for newborn babies through 6 months and now that Maelynn is a few months old and growing tall, her little legs dangle out of it. So, I know it was time to pack it away and break out the big girl bath tub!

Tonight was her FIRST bath in her big girl bath tub. This time we went with the classic Fisher Price 4 in 1 Sling n' Seat Tub. That would have worked fine for her first 6 months as well, but I just loved the Puj too much to pass it up, in addition to it being more suitable for us moving at the time. The four different stages are great because they can really grow with the baby. Maelynn is already a supported sitter, so the stage 3 sit me up support seat works great for her right now and keeps her perfectly positioned and steady throughout bath time. I also love that this came with a squeeze bottle and whale scoop, which made for easy rinsing and fun toys for her to play with. She also got a cool new tiny rubber ducky from the Doctor's office for getting her shots and checkup today, so she had a good time playing in her bubble bath! The last thing I wanted was another bulky baby item in the way, so I was pleasantly surprised to find a hidden hook on the back so that I could hang it up on the towel rack in the shower to save space. So far, so good!
