Happy New Year 2011!
Happy New Year 2011!

It's a brand new year in 2011! We started our New Year's off at Granny (Queenie)'s house this year! She cooked us the traditional New Year's "Good Luck" meal, complete with black eyed peas, collard greens, pork ribs, hog jaws, mashed potatoes, peas, macaroni and cheese, and old fashioned cornbread.

It was the best "soul food" you will ever put in your mouth! Kamden loved the mashed potatoes and peas (those are his favorites)-- but the highlight of his New Year's day was the chocolate pie!

After his nap, Kamden's granny sneaked and gave him a piece of chocolate pie. He likes to feed himself now, so he was making a good mess!

It's crazy to think of all the changes 2011 holds for our family. Kamden's development is advancing more as he gets older. He learns something new every day. In a few months, we will be able to have complete conversations with him! Keith is finishing up his last semester at the University of North Carolina at Asheville, and plans to apply to Optometry school for the Fall. Meanwhile, I am almost halfway through graduate school, and should be done by the end of the year. This new year holds many exciting journeys for our little family.
