6 MONTHS OLD!

Kamden is 6 MONTHS OLD today!!! He had his checkup this morning and he now weighs 16 pounds 12.5 ounces... 26.5 inches long... and his head is 46.3cm in circumference. His height and weight are 25-50th percentile... but his head is more around the 90th percentile. haha. He's got a lot of brains in there! hehe.

Poor baby had to get his routine shots today too! The older he gets the more it hurts him I think. When he was a little baby it didn't seem to really phase him that much... but at least the Doc gave him some cool Taz Looney Tune band aids to make it all better!

Kamden is able to hold his own bottle completely on his own now... but when he's sleepy he gets a little lazy and wants you to do it for him. He's almost "scooting" along, but not yet crawling. I think that will be his next milestone, along with sitting up independently. He sits in what they call a "tripod" position now... but it should be soon where he has the strength to sit up all the way. He can also pull up to stand if he holds my hands and I help him some... but once he is standing with my support he is getting very good at holding it for a few minutes. He rolls over constantly... and sometimes he knows how to get back onto his back, but other times he whines so someone will help him out. haha.

He's always laughed, smiled, and giggled.... but now more than ever. You can look at him and he will start cracking up! He likes it when you blow in his face or on the back of his neck... he thinks that is so funny. His Daddy does this little beep beep trick with his hands that really gets him going. He likes to listen to music still and loves bath time. He is talking in babble more... and will mimic all the sounds you make! If you make bubble or buzzing sounds with your mouth, he will too-- back and forth until he gets tired. His Granny also taught him how to shake his head and fake cough.... so now he is learning to master that trait! haha. Its actually really cute. I think this is one of my favorite stages so far... he has grown so much, and his own personality is starting to shine through. I'm excited for the next few milestones to come within the following months.
