Late Night Special

It was way past Kamden's normal bedtime when the three of us couldn't fall asleep. Kamden was wide awake and not ready to go "night night" at all. That's when Daddy had the best idea yet: Ice Cream run!

I yelped, "I scream... YOU scream... WE all scream... for ICE CREAM!" Kamden laughed hysterically. At least someone thinks my dorky ways are funny! Kam was all ready for bed with his pj's on and everything. We slipped some crocs on him and raced out the door.

Not too far down our road we discovered a replacement for our favorite ice cream shop... Maggie Moo's! It's a close tie to our all time favorite back home in North Carolina, The Hop. They both make their ice cream in homemade in house. Probably even better than Cold Stone or Marble Slab, which are also places we love to get ice cream. The boys know ice cream is Mommy's favorite... and I could never turn town a spare of the moment decision to go get a nice late night treat!

Kamden's favorite is cotton candy with mini gummy bears mixed in. I think he likes the gummy bears more than the ice cream, since he kept digging them out with his hands to eat them. It was a fun little adventure on the fly. As soon as we got home, Kam had no problem going to sleep. Maybe we have discovered the secret to getting your toddler to go to bed!
